I started doing taxidermy 15 years ago as a hobby.  I got into taxidermy because my local taxidermist put out consistently subpar work. Taxidermy has always been a hobby until this past year when I got my license and started accepting work from others. I do this as a side business now working weekends and evenings. I accept a limited amount of work each year in order to maintain a reasonable turn around time. I aim for a turn around time within 12 months. I take pride in my work and always try to make the most realistic mount possible. I enter my work into South Dakota Taxidermy Competition to get feedback and improve. I only use the best materials available in each mount.
